VDI (Citrix) implementation 1500 workstations
As part of the Endeavor project, a major national airline called on Cortex Génie Humain to ensure the packaging of applications on a VDI platform. This project aims to transform 3,000 workstations to virtual workstations (VDI). This transformation affects the four main business lines at our client: Airport, Call Center, Cargo and Maintenance. The catalog to be analyzed and virtualized contains 750 applications. Cortex Génie Humain is now in charge of managing the operations of the client's VDI environment.

Our client does not have the necessary resources and skills internally to carry out this project alone. The specificity, technicality and scale of the project require a dedicated and multidisciplinary team that is committed to delivering a high-quality project on time. The company therefore chose Cortex Génie Humain largely for the quality of its team. It is made up of professionals certified in Citrix, VMware and Microsoft and/or recognized in the fields of VDI architecture, large-scale project management or the integration of non-compatible applications. In addition, Cortex Génie Humain always works in collaboration with the manufacturers involved.
After a few months of delivery, it became clear that several aspects of the project were not adequately covered by our client's various partners. Cortex therefore took over most aspects of the delivery to finally succeed in this mandate and ensure that the client's requirements were met. Cortex Génie Humain had to adapt quickly and reorganize the teams.
Cortex Génie Humain was involved in all phases of the project. The client called on it to ensure the governance and management of the project, the automation of application installations in the virtual session (AP-V packaging), the integration of applications (including non-compatible applications) in the VDI session, as well as the technical leadership of the integration teams. Cortex Génie Humain's resources also supported the client's internal teams.
The new virtualized environment has increased the security of the information system while reducing its costs related to hardware, maintenance and energy bills. It also allows for the optimization of the deployment of new application features. Following the success of this project, the client chose Cortex Génie Humain to manage the operations of the VDI environment (see: VDI Operations (Citrix) 1,500 workstations project). Indeed, Cortex Génie Humain has a specialized operations center for VDI platforms.
